Vegan City is a nonprofit organization run mainly by volunteers. Our mission is to promote sustainable, thriving and compassionate communities by giving people the tools to get organized and support each other in this quest. We currently offer a large network of meetups through local facebook groups and a guide "How to be vegan and happy". Vegan City is also responsible for the "one vegan meal a week initiative" and the "one vegan meal a day challenge".

FOR THE ENVIRONMENT: Animal agriculture takes a devastating toll on the earth. It is an inefficient way of producing food, since feed for farm animals requires land, water, fertilizer, and other resources that could otherwise have been used directly for producing human food. The most efficient way of utilizing our resources for food is to adopt a vegan diet....."Sustainable"

FOR YOUR HEALTH: A vegan diet is free of antibiotics and usually low in fat because no animal grease is consumed. It is rich in vitamins and nutritious. Many athletes are turning to a vegan diet for its benefits on their performance....."Thriving"

FOR ANIMAL WELFARE: Because "vegan" means "free of animal products", by adopting this wonderful diet you are cutting out any suffering that could have otherwise been endured by other sentient beings....."Compassionate"
