What is Vegan City?
Vegan City is a nonprofit organization run mainly by volunteers. Our mission is to promote sustainable, thriving and compassionate communities by giving people the tools to get organized and support each other. We currently offer a large network of meetups through local facebook groups and a guide "How to be vegan and happy". Vegan City is also responsible for the "one vegan meal a week initiative" and the "one vegan meal a day challenge".

What are the rules of Vegan City?
No commercial activity is tolerated during the potlucks, the food is 100% vegan. If you are on an omnivorous diet or vegetarian diet, please take this rule under consideration, ask others if you are not sure if an ingredient is vegan or not.

How to start my own Vegan City group?
Check the google map, if your city is not on it, contact us. If your local group is inactive or not very active: contact us. We'll tell you how to get started in your area in a few clicks.

How do I fing the Vegan City group closest to me?
Check the google map, the markers are cities, you can drag the map and double click to zoom in, hover over to highlight the info.

How do I contact the local organizer?
Once you have located your city on the google map, click on the link that takes you to the local facebook group. On the right column of the facebook group towards the middle there is the list of admins and officers, from there you can click on the link and contact your organizer through facebook.

Are there any fees or money involved?
No! The meetups are completely free, if anyone ask you for money in person or through email, organizer or not, please email us immediately! Vegan City meetups are completely free.

How do I add pictures to the Vegan City Gallery?
Simply name your pictures (for example "San Jose, California meetup 08") and email them as an attachment to recent02dregs@photos.flickr.com, that's it! Your pictures have been added to the photo Gallery!

How do I use use Vegan City?
Use the map to locate your local group, become an organizer or assistant organizer, attend the meetups, invite non vegans to meetups.

I'm going on vacation out of town and would like to meet the local group, how do I do that?
Use the map to locate the group local to your destination, locate the organizer on the right column of the corresponding facebook group, the organizer should be able to help you.
